Première films at Pathé Thuis
Première films give you the opportunity to watch various new films at home sooner. Pathé Thuis is the first place where you can watch new films from the comfort of your home. You get early access to rent these films, which is why these films have a higher price than you are used to. Nothing changes to the conditions for watching a film. It remains available in your account for 30 days after purchase and you can watch it for 48 hours after you have started the film.
Première films are usually available for the regular price after four months. This applies to both renting and buying films. On the web page of the film you can see exactly when it will be available for the regular rate. It is possible that there is no date yet, but as soon as it is known to us, we will put it online.

What do I need to watch Première films?
You do not need to purchase anything extra to watch Première films. A Pathé Thuis account can be created for free, but you do of course have to pay for your film. This can be done via Pathé Thuis credit, Paypal, direct debit and iDEAL.
Why is there a difference in prices?
The Première rental price that aaplies depends on the amount that Pathé Thuis pays to the rights holder of the film. This is usually a film studio such as Disney and Warner Bros.. Pathé Thuis has no influence on the amount of this payment. In general, the newer the film or the shorter the film has been in the cinema, the higher this payment is. Because there is a separate price agreement per title, the films can vary in price.
When will Première films be available for the regular rental and purchase price?
It differs per Première film when the film will become available for the regular price. This has to do with the agreements made with the film studios. You can assume that the films can be rented or purchased for the regular price after four months. You can find the dates they will become available on the film page itself.
