INCREASED FILM PLEASURE
No matter how old you are, everyone is welcome at Pathé! Children up to 2 years old can even go to the movies for free, provided they sit on the lap of one of their parents/guardians. All films screened in the Netherlands have received a classification from the Kijkwijzer and different rules apply for each classification. The Kijkwijzer is an organization that informs parents and educators up to what age a film can be harmful to children. The age classification determined by the Kijkwijzer is attached to a law by the government in public places, such as cinemas. As a result, some age ratings may require us to refuse admission to a film. So make sure you are well-informed before your cinema visit.

AL
The Kijkwijzer AL indicates that a film contains no harmful images and is suitable for viewers of all ages.
6+
The Kijkwijzer for ages 6 indicates that children, accompanied by an adult, are allowed at films rated for ages 6 and older.
9+
The Kijkwijzer for ages 9 indicates that children, accompanied by an adult, are allowed at films rated for ages 9 and older.
12+
The Kijkwijzer for 12 years indicates that persons, accompanied by an adult, are allowed at films rated for 12 years and older. Visitors younger than the rating are not permitted to attend movies unaccompanied.
14+
The Kijkwijzer for 14 years indicates that persons, accompanied by an adult, are allowed at films rated for 14 years and older. Visitors younger than the rating are not permitted to attend movies unaccompanied.
16+
The Kijkwijzer for 16 indicates that all visitors must be 16 years of age or older and possess valid identification. If someone cannot show proof of identification, admission will be denied. Pathé is required by law to carry out age verification. Your right to compensation expires if you cannot show valid identification.
18+
The Kijkwijzer for 18 indicates that all visitors must be 16 years of age or older and possess valid identification. If a person cannot show proof of identification, admission is denied. With a rating of 18, the film is not recommended for visitors aged 16 and 17, but the rating is advisory. Admission will be granted to visitors aged 16 and 17, upon presentation of valid identification. Pathé is required by law to carry out age verification. Your right to compensation expires if you cannot show valid identification.
OTHER PICTOGRAMS
