MOVIES WITH FREE LESSON PACKAGE FOR STUDENTS

Groups 7 and 8 from primary education can watch the films with their class in September (reduced price) at Pathé Ede or Pathé Arnhem. The films have been carefully selected and fit within the educational frameworks related to Airborne and freedom. For each film, there is a choice of a Basic or Plus package. In this way, the pupils are maximally involved in order to make the events come to life. You can register via ede@pathe.nl or arnhem@pathe.nl. We kindly ask you to send the following questions by email:

• Group and number of pupils

• Which package do you choose: Basic or Plus package

LESSON PACKAGES

Pathé Basic:

This package consists of a preparatory lesson at school about expectations, a film visit to Pathé Ede or Arnhem and a closing lesson at school. The closing lesson focuses on creating and the Ede region during the Second World War. In Arnhem, the closing lesson focuses on “Operation Market Garden” and the Arnhem region during the Second World War.

Pathé Plus (only available at Pathé Ede):

In addition to the components of the basic package, this package offers an additional activity for students, supervised by Pathé employees. Following the film visit, students take a look at the exhibition about Airborne Ede, in the Pathé foyer. Through an active working method, students discover what it means to make choices during the Second World War. Through a choice test, students are faced with various dilemmas.

Pathé Arnhem and Pathé Ede have been active as ambassadors of the Airborne Region for several years now. From a social perspective, experiencing this important period is extremely important.

WAAR IS ANNE FRANK

Kitty, de denkbeeldige vriendin van Anne Frank aan wie zij haar dagboekbrieven schreef, is op mysterieuze wijze tot leven gekomen in het Achterhuis. Kitty vraagt zich af waar Anne is, neemt het dagboek mee en gaat op onderzoek uit. Verbijsterd ontdekt Kitty dat Anne overal en nergens is. In dit Europa, dat worstelt met nieuwe uitdagingen, vindt Kitty een manier om de boodschap van Anne opnieuw betekenis te geven.

WAAR IS ANNE FRANK is hartverwarmend en confronterend tegelijk. De film ging op het filmfestival van Cannes in wereldpremière, werd door de European Film Awards genomineerd voor Beste Animatiefilm en is de openingsfilm van het Kaboom Animation Festival in Amsterdam.

OORLOGSGEHEIMEN

1943, Zuid Limburg. De twaalfjarige Tuur en Lambert zijn al van jongs af aan onafscheidelijke vrienden. Ook aan hun idyllische dorp gaat de oorlog niet voorbij. Tuurs ouders gaan in het verzet terwijl die van Lambert lid worden van de NSB.
Dan komt Maartje, een meisje uit het westen, tijdelijk in het dorp wonen. Zij heeft een groot geheim en besluit dat alleen met Tuur te delen. Die keuze drijft de jongens uit elkaar en brengt Maartje uiteindelijk in groot gevaar. Tuur dreigt niet alleen zijn vriendschap met Lambert, maar ook z’n hele familie te verliezen. Hij zal er alles aan moeten doen om beide te redden.

OORLOGSWINTER

De 14-jarige Michiel kan niet wachten tot hij iets kan beteken voor het verzet. Als zijn buurjongen hem vraagt een brief te bezorgen is het eindelijk zover. Al snel blijkt dat de communicatie in de brief is verraden.
